Pregnancy Gift Basket

The moment I found out I was expecting Bella my whole world changed. Aside from being horribly sick, I was the happiest women in the entire world. I wanted to shout it from the rooftops, of course without throwing up a lung. It was also one of my hardest moments. I wanted to know everything and googled almost 183,840 times a day. I wanted to make sure I was taking care of myself and my baby. If you have googled anything you know it’s probably not the best idea ever. The results will take you on 200 directions and at least in one of them, you’ll end up dead.  All of this to say pregnancy is the first step on a very unknown road no matter if this is your first rodeo or you have done it a few times. They do say every pregnancy and child is different right?! To help with the unknown I have decided to make a pregnancy gift basket full of goodies I loved during my pregnancy with Bella and all which will be in use with any future pregnancies, plus half of my friends are pregnant. Let’s start!
Water Bottle: We should all be taking at least 8 glasses of 8oz of water daily but honestly, I know most people don’t even do 4 glasses.I have figured out that if I find a cup I like enough is more likely that I drink from it. Many times I carry just your old regular water bottle and keep reusing it over and over again!

Nature Made® Prenatal Multi + DHA (200mg) 150ct. softgels: These are one of the things I researched like crazy. I ended up going with and never looked back. I started taking my vitamins 6 months before we started trying and all throughout my pregnancy. I love that it comes in a gel pack and I get no extra (unwanted) flavors, on top of that it’s one dosage and done! It’s very easy to swallow, and again it’s just one softgel! #winning Definitely my choice of vitamins next time around. They also provide

essential vitamins and minerals (before and during pregnancy) including Folic Acid, Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Iodine, Vitamin B12, and Vitamin D3.†

Blanqi Girls Support Tank: I’m 5’0 and I usually have a big belly by 6 months, which looks more like a 9 months belly and my back knows it. I bought two tanks with Bella and they saved my back. If you have never heard of these girls, believe you need one!

Saltine Crackers: Honestly this will probably be the only thing you’ll hold down and adding a sleeve in your bag is just what your body needs.

Preggers Tshirt: Once you have decided that it time to tell the world I love a good tee that can be worn later one with a dress underneath.

Coconut oil with Gentle Baby: The first time around I used a stretch mark cream and it helped a lot but it wasn’t enough so next time I want to try something new. I made this cream for my tummy and I can’t wait to use it!  I mix it with coconut oil and Gentle baby oil by Young Living.

A Notebook: I love to write and writing letters to my baby was one of my favorite things. It’s something that I give to every new mom as pregnancy may seem long but each moment brings such peace! Most of these items I used with Bella and once we get pregnant again we will be adding all of these into our life!

The best thing you can get Nature Made Prenatal® Multi + DHA (200mg) 150ct. softgels  at your local Sam’s Club! No need to order them and wait for them to be delivered.

What would you include? Is there something that helped you through your pregnancy?

Trend Spin Linkup- Summer Style

#romper, Skirt, Summer fashion, trend linkup

Hey Y’all!

Summer is here and so are the hot temperatures especially in the South. Texas gets hotter and hotter and summers tend to last a bit longer than usual.

So I’m finding it hard to find pieces other than shorts and a tee. So thankful for maxi dresses and rompers.

#summerfashion, #romper, #trend, maxiskirt

Romper: Ross (Sleeve less Option, Similar , Love the color on this one, with an eyelet top)

Sandals: No longer available (Similar and on sale!!, I need to go back for these)

We took a short trip to the beach last month and I went on a quick trip to my go to stores to find a few dresses or rompers and I found this beauty!!

I love it and I’m secretly looking for more styles and patterns!

I love that it’s super versatile! It’s the perfect outfit for any mom. I can bend down to pick up my toddler in the middle of a tantrum without any problem and still look fashionable enough for a day out on the town.

And guys I promised  I’m looking for an at home tanning lotion or spray or something to make me look a bit summer ready! #pastywhite #neverinstyle

I’m excited to join Laura and Erin in their weekly Trend Spin Linkup and I hope you can join us too.

One Dress 4 Ways

This post contains affiliate links! Thank you for supporting my blog.

Hey Gals!

Spring and Summer are the seasons for dresses and I cannot get enough of them! The only problem we sometimes face when we purchase dresses is the lack of outfit options for the future.

Today I want to take the challenge and make easy for all of us! You can do this with any swing dress but what I love about this dress is the peplum aspect, but let’s get started!

#summerdress #1dress4ways

1. As Is

This dress is very lightweight and if you know me in real life you have probably seen me wearing it multiple times! I wear it with these flats. When the temps drop (I doubt it will happen in the next 8 months in Texas) you can pair it with boots!

#summerdress #1dress4ways

2. Kimono It

Another thing that comes with spring are Kimonos!

One of my favorite accessories. (I have a post on my favorites coming up) In reality, kimonos are a match with almost everything in your closet! This is my favorite way as it gives the dress a whole entire look!

3. Tied up

The new way to do every shirt! It always reminds me when I was in junior high and we use to tie our t-shirts! #90skid. Except now there are tons of tutorials out there for different knot looks and many of the shirts bring the knot already! #easypeasy

#summerdress #1dress4ways

4. Peplum Top

My second favorite. I love it this way and it’s super simple! Tuck most of the dress in your shorts and start pulling little by little until you get the desired length all around.

Hope you can see your dresses in a new light and get the most use out of them! And don’t worry we will be going to the beach this weekend so I can get some sun on them legs!

Last Minute Valentine’s Day Dresses

This post contains affiliate links. Thank you for your help!

last minute valentine's dresses, valentine dresses #lastminute #valentinesdaydressesWell, Valentine’s day is here whether we are ready or not! I cannot believe we are almost mid through February! Either I’m getting older or time is really flying by, but the deal is it’s here and I’m ready to enjoy it!

Our church has an annual Valentine’s day dinner and this year again our ministry will be in charge so between the planning and our regular services I have to get a party dress and be ready to fall more in love with my better half! Today I want to take you on the ride and show you some dresses you can actually pick up at your local stores and a few Amazon dresses, because hello, Amazon PRIME!

I do have to warn you I’m very traditional and honestly, I don’t go for minis or anything where I’m showing too much skin! I love a modest dress and something that feels like me so many of these may not be your style but I would love to see it in the comments! Dont get me wrong I have short dresses and show skin but everything with limits! Every item I’m going to share are things I would wear in a heartbeat!

Velvet Dress: I’m in love with this one and is currently in my cart! I love love the color and the sleeves!

Black Tutu Dress: If you saw my closet this dress fits right in! Is there a need to explain why on this dress?

Soft Pink Dress: I love this dress! The style is perfect and the lenght looks great! It also hides the post-baby bump or the c-section pouch too!

Lace Dress: Ohh this dress speaks my language! If you have bigger hips, like me, this is the dress to go for! It highlights your smaller areas and the color is amazing!

Red Ruffle Dress: I love a good ruffle! The best dress on the list probably if you are looking for something a bit more formal and on the modest side!

Peplum Dress: I have a peplum dress in black and it’s such a staple in my closet! I love how it makes me feel and more than anything how it looks!

Others I’m Loving:

This Red Dress: This red dress is beautiful! Unfortunately for me, carry a lot of weight on my hips and this is definitely a no for my body type!

This Polka dot Dress: Is on my birthday wishlist!

Red Lace Dress: If you are going for something a little bit more revealing! You know that hot date with your partner!

TTC Tips: Second Time Around

Thank you Clearblue® for sponsoring this post. The new Clearblue® Connected Ovulation Test System is now available at major retailers across the U.S. such as Walmart, Target, Amazon and Meijer. Visit a store near you to try it!.

Almost a year ago I posted on our thoughts of baby # 2, and we are coming up to Bella’s 3rd, yes, her third birthday and I won’t lie, it has been tough! Not only because my sweet baby is growing up, but I imagined our family with another baby already.

We always knew we wanted our kids close in age but the timing has been off. Bella’s birth was not at all what we imagined, she got ear-tubes this year and lastly, we said goodbye to our first home. A full year for sure!

Now that we are settling into our new home, and praying constantly for our future, the baby subject is being touched more often. We think about him or her and how perfect it will be when we are blessed with another little angel. Meanwhile, there were a few things that we have to do, and if you are TTC you may want to stick around. I’m no doctor, nor nurse but these are tips that have worked for us back then and we are hoping they work for us when we start trying!

A little History

My monthly visitor has never been my best friend! I would even say we hate each other’s guts. I had months with two visits and months where she never came. It was plain hard. I had a condition where my eggs would rupture before ever getting to my uterus which caused me a lot of pain. I was even told that it would be very close to impossible for me to be a mom due to that. It would happen every month, and most of the time, I would end up in the doctor or even the hospital due to the pain. Once I got married things changed a bit. My visitor would come every month, and little by little the pain subsided. I still take aspirin during those days to make it a little easier on myself.

Trying to Conceive

Know your days!

This is very hard for all of us, women! I’m a planner type of person but most of the time, I forget to write my days and have to look back in my messages to find when I texted my husband about it. I also tend to forget how long my cycle is, as not all of us have a 28-day cycle, which is the most important number when TTC. My body seems to ovulate a lot and would let me know but it was still very hard for me to know when was my highest day or when my visitor is close by.

When we were trying for Bella I had a really difficult time when my monthly visitor had its shift! It would break my heart as I always thought “this month for sure”. I remember testing so much I got to a point of hating pregnancy tests. It took us 3 months which is not long at all, but as I was a first-timer I thought it would happen on our first try! Silly right!

This time around I’m more than prepared for this. I got my Clearblue® Connected Ovulation Test System and I love the fact that I have the info on me at all times. My test syncs into my phone and I get alerts as to when to test and my “peak” ovulation day. Here is an easy video!

Take Vitamins

I start taking prenatal usually when we first touch the baby subject. It may be months before we actually agree on a time frame but my body needs it.

For some reason, before getting pregnant I can take gummy vitamins but when I’m actually pregnant the aftertaste kills me. I take these before and take these after.

Have fun!

This!!! When we were trying for Bella, it was my mission to get pregnant and forgot about the fun. I would then get stressed thinking if it happened or if it didn’t. Once I let go and just enjoyed spending time with my hubby things got amazing! TMI, but hey this post is about it all! Just last week we had a date and guess what we are having another one this weekend. Just the two of us!

On a more personal note, as I could get more personal, :). This is a tough time for many of us, so my only advice is to never take yourself too seriously. Don’t get me wrong trying for a baby is very serious but the whole trying part it’s very stressful. If you let that part get to you it will kill the joy. You know how the old saying goes, the journey is what matters!
