3 Tips to Train your Hair to Stay Clean Longer

Hey Guys!

So it’s been quite some time since I’ve actually written a few weeks but I’ve been wanting to answer a few questions about my dry shampoo!

Dry shampoo is probably the most asked question on my Instagram.

How to use and why? So here goes nothing.

To be 100% honest I wash my hair once a week. Yes, only once a week and I’ve been doing it that way for the last 4 years or so!

Back then Dry Shampoo was not a thing I knew about but I would just work around my hair.Plan different hair days and just play it off, but thankfully dry shampoo came about and I have been a user ever since then!

I’ve mentioned in my Instagram Stories before, but this will not be something you can do form one day to other, it takes time to train your hair, to make it look clean.  I know this may not be something for everyone but for me, a full-time employee, mama and wife without counting the fact that I’m in church and taking classes almost every evening of the week. This is my stage of life right now and this what works for me!

So on to the actual tips!

  1. Wash your hair and make sure you rinse it well. One of the things that will absolutely kill this process is a very dewy conditioner or leaving even a tiny bit in your hair.A few years ago I read that after your done showering you need to rinse your hair one last time in cold water and I do that every single time.
  2. If you have the time, blow-dry your hair. This will make it extra dry and take all the oils out! Plus hey it gives your hair crazy volume and life!
  3. If this is your first time, let your hair get dirty, extra dirty. You know the day that you HAVE to wash it? You can wear something like this or this and just apply dry shampoo!! No joke here guys. The idea is to train your hair to last longer. That way every week you will take it an extra day!

This is the dry shampoo I use and it’s on sale this week. Get a few cans if you can and I’ll be back next week to share a bit more on how to style it and a day to day photo of how my hair looks throughout the week!

Thanks for reading and have the best Monday ever! God Bless!
