The holiday season is upon us, before we know it it would be Thanksgiving, then Christmas and over in the blink of an eye. Yet anyone you ask will most likely tell you it’s their favorite time of the year. Don’t know what it is, but we all love very much. I’m one of those people that love everything about it, what they stand for and the closeness that it brings to our homes, but every year I fail at giving back.
I tell myself I want to give back, I want to share what I have been so kindly given, but we are always short on time. Between the work, church and family parties time flies faster as the years go by and we push giving back until next year.
This year I’m happy to say we have started on the right foot, Kroger and Huggies have teamed up and created an easier, yet effective way for all of us to give back. Until December 5, everytime you buy a HUGGIES diapers Big Pack or 2 Jumbo Packs you will not only get a free pack HUGGIES wipes but HUGGIES will donate a one day supply of diapers (up to 1 million) to the National Diaper Bank Network.
If you are a parent you know how useful diapers are, you know the huge need for them and I was very surprised to learn that 1 in 3 parents have difficulty proving diapers for their littles. I honestly cannot imagine my life without diapers, not now that I have a semi-potty trained daughter nor the day she was born. I can’t imagine having that need, but most of the time we take that for granted. We take the ability to buy diapers and to be gifted for granted because it comes so easy for many of us, but we tend to forget about everyone else.
I remember coming home from the hospital and having a set schedule, funny right, for diaper changes, which soon went out the window. We used more diapers than what we estimated because Bella didn’t like to be wet or poopy, so to imagine not having enough just hurts my mama heart.
Like always change is in our hands, so I invite you to visit your local Kroger this holiday season to purchase your diaper needs and give back. It’s so easy because most of us need diapers on a daily basis and there are Kroger everywhere, so let’s make this season different. Let’s give back and help moms like you, me, your sister and neighbor.
